Checklist to Validate Vault Configuration

First, ensure your underlying Morpho Vault V1 is fully configured and operational by following the Vault V1 setup checklist. Once the Vault V1 is ready, proceed with the following steps to set up your Vault V2.

Vault V2 Setup Checklist

  • Create a new Morpho Vault V2 using the VaultV2Factory.
  • Set the core roles: As Owner, assign the Curator and Sentinel(s).
  • Deploy the MorphoVaultV1Adapter.
  • Enable the adapter: As Curator, submit and execute the timelocked proposals to link the adapter to your vault.
  • Set the liquidityAdapter: As Allocator, designate the newly enabled MorphoVaultV1Adapter as the primary market for handling deposits and withdrawals.
  • Appoint the Allocator(s): As Curator, grant the Allocator role to your management contract or multisig via a timelocked proposal.
  • Set the risk caps: As Curator, define the absoluteCap and relativeCap for the enabled adapter to manage risk exposure.
  • Harden the vault's timelocks: After the initial setup is complete, increase the timelocks for sensitive functions to a production-safe value.
  • Configure your reallocation and monitoring bot: Ensure your Allocator logic is in place to manage the vault's capital.
  • Submit a vault form for Front End listing (For whitelisted curators only).
  • (Optional) Submit a rewards program for the new vault.
  • List and price your new vault token on platforms like Coingecko and Etherscan.
  • Submit a Forum post to announce the new vault and its strategy to the community.
